White Chocolate Polvoron Cupcakes

White Chocolate Polvoron Cupcakes

These are polvoron covered in white chocolate. I have made real polvoron cupcakes last April and some people who actually wanted these "polvoron cupcakes" landed on that page. So, as an apology to those readers whom I have confused, this is a photo-tutorial to make the "polvoron cupcakes" that they have wanted.

So let's get started!

White Chocolate-covered "Polvoron Cupcakes"
Notes [ HEAD: White Chocolate, HEART: Almond, BASE: Toasted Flour ]

Ingredients [makes 12 mini polvoron cupcakes]
12 pcs. polvoron [follow the link for my recipe, or you could just buy them]
1 c. white chocolate/candy melts [I used 1 pack Goya EasyMelt Buttons]
decorations [fondant toppers, sprinkles, or anything you fancy]

mini cupcake wrappers/liners
mini muffin pan

Directions
1. Line the muffin pan with cupcake liners, then place a polvoron in each liner. *If you want to completely cover the polvoron in white chocolate, skip the "put the polvoron in the liners" part.

2. Melt the candy melts in the microwave at 10 seconds interval, stirring after each interval, until melted. If you are using white chocolate, it is time to temper it [which I'll discuss someday in another post, in the meantime read this].

3. Cover the polvorons with the melted candy melts/tempered white chocolate. Use a toothpick to level the top and to also fill the sides. *If you want completely covered polvoron, put some melted candy melts into empty liners, put the polvoron on top, then cover as directed here.

4. Top with your chosen decoration. You can use fondant toppers, or just use heart sprinkles like I did.

5. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or freeze for about 10 minutes until the top is hardened. Serve and enjoy.
